Très jeune fille en Iran, Anousheh Ansari a grandi en observant et regardant les films Star Trek et Lost in Space, "Perdu dans l'Espace", commençant à somnoler sur le balcon de sa maison à Téhéran, où elle tombait endormie en regardant les premiers rôles.

Toutefois bientôt la révolution Iranienne de 1979 s'est fermée aux opportunités pour les filles, ainsi en 1984, sa famille a envoyé Anousheh, 16 ans, qui ne parlait pas l'anglais mais un peu le français, chez des parents en Virginie. Immédiatement activée par l'abondance des opportunités elle a commencé à poursuivre le rêve américain du succès à l'éducation et aux affaires. Elle a rapidement appris une nouvelle langue et a continué ses études au collège, obtenant sa licence à l'Université George Mason et la maîtrise en Ingiénerie électrotechnique à l'Université George Washington.

As a young girl in Iran, Anousheh Ansari grew up watching Star Trek and Lost in Space movies, begging to sleep on the balcony of her home in Tehran, where she would fall asleep gazing at the stars.

However soon the 1979 Iranian revolution closed off opportunities for girls, so in 1984, her family sent 16-year-old Anousheh, who spoke no English but a bit of french, to relatives in Virginia. Immediately energized by the abundance of opportunity she began pursuing the American dream of education and business success. She quickly learned a new language and went on to college, earning a bachelor's from George Mason University and master's degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University...
